| Contact Information | Los Angeles County is not authorized to give us your contact information. That is why it is important for you to contact us whenever your mailing address and/or phone numbers have changed. We need to keep our association's records accurate in order to best represent you. |
| Out-of-Pay Status | The County of Los Angeles Department of Auditor-Controller cannot make LACCEA membership dues deductions when a member is out-of-pay status (e.g. on workers comp or unpaid leave) which causes interruption of their payroll deduction dues payment. During periods when the Department of Auditor-Controller cannot make this deduction, it becomes the member’s responsibility to pay their dues directly to LACCEA. Direct payment of monthly membership fees must be received no later than the 25th of every month to be credited for that month. If dues are not received by the 25th of every month, your membership will be suspended. |
| Representation | Eligibility for representation begins three months after the county’s first deduction. Matters occurring before and within the three months are not covered. Only members In-Good-Standing are eligible for representation. LACCEA reserves the right to evaluate the merits of a claim. Members must call our office at (626) 458-2314 and speak with one of our office staff in order to obtain authorization for representation. It is important to remember that you should contact the LACCEA office immediately if you experience a work related problem as there is only a limited amount of time for you to file a grievance. Please do not wait until the end of the ten day period to contact us, as time is of the essence. |
